How it started

Back in 2004, the then Living team was relatively small. In fact there were 4 of us. Living was actually an electronic security company named ASP Security & Fire and we provided electronic security as well as services to facilities management companies across Dorset and Hampshire. It wasn’t until one of our clients asked us to install a multi-room AV system in their Sandbanks home that we turned our attention to the wider home technology market. By 2005 we had successfully undertaken a number of home automation projects, which is when we decided to sell ASP and the maintenance contracts and concentrate purely on home tech and home cinema.

By 2007 we had made a name for ourselves as a company that could design and install control systems that were a little more pleasing on the eye, we paid as much attention to how a finished system would look, to how it would perform. Inevitably this helped us acquire many fans in the architecture and interior design world, leading to Living® appearing on ‘Grand Designs’ (Channel 4 TV program), BBC ‘Basement Wars’ and working for some of Londons largest estates.

Since Living® was established in 2005 we have carried out design, installs and service of Home Cinema, Home Automation, Lighting Control and Blind Automation across the world, with installs in Spain, Portugal, St Lucia as well as across the UK.
